Decisions regarding financial aid (including scholarships and loan funds) were part of the responsibility of the Dean of Radcliffe until 1960 when a separate office was established. In 1972 this function was merged with that of Admissions, and in 1975, as a result of the Strauch Committee report, a combined Harvard/Radcliffe Office of Admissions and Financial Aids was established.
